The Hollywood Center for Positive Living has classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 7:30 pm. Each class is warm, inviting and you are sure to leave more connected, inspired and peaceful.
Everyone is welcome regardless of your path or where you are on it. We are open to people of all faiths and cultures, GLBT orientation and living the 12 Steps and beyond. Each is complete as a single class and there are no prerequisites.

Self Healing Class
A fun and lively weekly class and discussion based You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay and her lifework on Loving Yourself and Self-Healing. Rev Greg has presented and taught this material to a wide variety of audiences for over 18 years. "This class is the starting point for many. Participation in it will transform anyone!" We provide a warm, loving and exciting environment where you can find your healing by learning to love yourself just as you as. You learn to replace old, lesser ideas for much greater creative and healing ideas. "You deserve to have a first class life and this this material will do much to help you achieve it."
Class meets in the meeting room at the Methodist Church in Dania Beach. 113 S. Federal Hwy/US-1

Living the Spiritual Life
Want to live with greater inner strength, authenticity, wisdom, peace and joy? While spiritual healing is an inside job, we live our lives on the outside. This class, with humor and compassion, focuses on creating spiritual mindfulness in all our experience – all the conditions, situations, connections, relationships and interactions of everyday life.
This warm and friendly weekly discussion is based on books and topics of spiritual significance. Books will vary between the New Thought classics, some with accredited class curriculum, and contemporary authors on the cutting edge of Quantum Thinking. These are the ideas that have inspired people for thousands of years and those in the news today.
Class meets in the Upstairs Studio at The Hollywood Playhouse at 2640 Washington Street. (Six-blocks South of Hollywood Blvd. between I-95 and Dixie Hwy.) Enter via blue door at the right-rear corner of building. There's plenty of well lighted parking.
Class tuitions, or a portion as each person is comfortable participating, are suggestions. Scholarships are liberally granted (contact Rev. Greg) and no one is turned away. We are especially grateful for larger donations in support of our classes.

Science of Mind 100 Series
The essentials of Science of Mind are covered in the first year classes, or SOM 100 Series. These 32 classes are designed to give students a solid background in the theory and practice of metaphysical principles. HCPL offers this in a format of two 16-week courses which include the following four units of study all based on Ernest Holmes’ book The Science of Mind.
The Spiritual Path
The Spiritual Path introduces students to the background, history, and beginnings of Science of Mind® as well as to a new concept of God. Classes explore how God, the Universal Creative Power, relates to the individual and how thought creates our personal reality.
The Principles of Successful Living
In The Principles of Successful Living, students explore the role of consciousness in co-creating their own lives. Students are encouraged to develop a positive, life-affirming consciousness that gives direction to a spiritual law of Cause and Effect. This unit enables students to gain a greater understanding of the individual’s place in this spiritual universe and our relation to the one creative source behind all life that we commonly call God.
The Nature of Effective Prayer
The Nature of Effective Prayer unit gives students knowledge, understanding and techniques to pray affirmatively. Using the steps of spiritual mind treatment, or affirmative prayer, students learn how to pray more effectively for themselves and to expect greater results.
Building a Healing Consciousness
In Building a Healing Consciousness, students deepen their understanding of effective spiritual mind treatment, and develop a greater understanding of the nature of the creative process in the individual.
Science of Mind 200 Series
In our second year of classes, called the Science of Mind 200 series, there are many interesting courses all designed to enable students to understand the metaphysical law at work behind every aspect of our lives.
Courses deal with health, wealth, relationships, careers and creative expression. We use texts that reflect the depth of knowledge available today including many of the foundational writers such as Thomas Troward, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Ernest Holmes, Raymond Charles Barker and many contemporary authors as well.
HCPL offers second year series in a format of four eight-week courses that empower students to create healthy, prosperous, successful, loving and creative lives. Course offerings vary each year. See our newsletter for information on our next SOM 200 course offering.
Science of Mind 300 Series
The Science of Mind 300 course is designed for the serious student of Religious Science. This course is a far-reaching exploration of the theory and practice of metaphysical principles as applied to healing and transformation. Students of this course gain mastery in the use of affirmative prayer for themselves and for others; they become adept at the application of spiritual principles to every situation.
Later in the course, the student is prepared for a professional practice as a licensed Practitioner of Religious Science. Including practical experience and advanced training, SOM 300 is an intensive study. The successful student, upon completion of the study, will have completed the necessary requirements to apply for licensing as a Practitioner of Religious Science. Please note that completing coursework does not automatically guarantee that a license will be issued.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of the SOM 100 and 200 courses.
Science of Mind 400 Series
Ministerial Studies. The purpose of this 2 year series is to train a student in effective leadership with an ability to relate the Principles of Science of Mind to every day living and to express these principles in a clear, practical way to persons unfamiliar with them. This course is intended only for the student who has a clear intention of beginning a Religious Science ministry upon completion of the course.
Prerequisites: successful completion of the SOM 100, 200, and 300 series and permission of the instructor.
